Congratulations to Jeff Buttle, World Champion!!!

Jeff is currently finishing up his stellar season with the Canadian Stars on Ice tour, which continues through May 7th. Jeff has debued TWO new exhibition programs on this year's tour - Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode and Ribbon in the Sky by Stevie Wonder. Jeff also skates in the opening and closing numbers and both mid-show group numbers. Don't miss your opportunity to see our new World Champion live!



Jeff has had a very busy schedule post-Worlds with pre-rehearsals with the U.S. cast of Stars on Ice and multiple tv and print appearances across Canada. Some of those events included: .

Jeff has also added three new events to his schedule prior to the Canadian Stars on Ice tour begins on April 15th. First is the Barrie Club show on April 8th, then a BMO promotional appearance from 4-5pm at the Georgian Mall in Barrie, ON and finally the Pickerington Club show on April 12th.



Jeff won the free skate with a score of 163.07, giving him an overall score of 245.17 and a new personal best overall score. Jeff skated a brilliant program, landing two triple axels (one a triple jump combination with a double toe and double loop), a triple flip/triple toe combo, two triple lutz (one of them in combo - with a double toe), including eight clean jumping passes in all. His exquisite level four spins and level three footwork sequences brought the audience to their feet before the final spin. Way to go Jeff! Let the well deserved celebration begin!!!

Next up for Jeff is the gala exhibition on Sunday and then the Canadian Stars On Ice tour which begins April 15th.



Jeff skated his best short program of the season, placing first in the first phase of the competition at the World Championships in Goteborg, Sweden. Scoring a season high of 82.10 for this program, Jeff landed a triple flip/triple toe, triple axel and triple lutz. His gorgeous level 4 footwork and spins rounded out the winning program. Jeff skates last in the final flight of the long program on Saturday afternoon.

Worlds is under way and the men take the ice tomorrow for their short programs. Jeff has a good draw, skating first in the final flight of men. He will take the ice around 4:45pm Swedish time.
